I'm going to have the last slice of cake

Yesterday evening I had dinner with my girlfriend. She always has the last bite of everithing but I managed to protect the last slice of chocolate cake to have it today.

I'm in my office now, dreaming of that delicious dessert and I have decided that I am going to have the last slice of cake as soon as I arrive home this afternoon. I can't wait!

....

Hey!!!! As you can see, I'm home now and  I'm going to have this last slice of delicious cake. Yum!

Question of the week: what does our friend mean when he says...

 - "I have decided that I am going to have the last slice of cake as soon as I arrive home this afternoon

 - "I'm home now and I'm going to have this last slice of delicious cake."

He uses the same grammar structure 'to be going to' but with different meanings...

We are waiting for your guesses!
